Gripoix Miriam Haskell Melon Bead Bib Necklace
There is only one word to describe this amazing necklace and that is...SUMPTUOUS. The collar is approximately 2" wide with 1 3/4" drops, and it has a wearable length of 16". The emerald green melon beads were purchased from Maison Gripoix, the manufacturers of many of Chanel's pieces. It was made during Robert Clark's "grand" period of design, and it's obvious that it was inspired by Gripoix pieces of the time. It is in excellent condition and has been professionally restrung by Millie Petronzio, the current head designer at Miriam Haskell. It is in excellent condition and is signed "Miriam Haskell" on the clasp. Pieces of this quality rarely hit the market. In fact, the only other similar piece I've seen was auctioned in Paris in 2007, and came from the personal collection of Robert Clark.
