Circa 1850. This spectacular pin comes from the estate of the prominent jewelry family, the Linz brothers of Dallas. It is large in scale, measuring 5 1/4" long x 2 1/2" wide, and incredibly dramatic with it's 2 tremblant flowers. It is made from antique gold with a silver top and is pave set with old mine cut and rose cut diamonds totalling 2.5 carats (VS-2 to I-1(I)). It does have early repairs with a modern pin stem and clutch added. It has French hallmarks throughout the pin and is stamped "88" on the stem as well. It's truly and amazing piece that will get lots of attention when worn.
