This vintage modernist cocktail ring has such an unusual mounting. The ring is made from 14k gold with a large faceted center stone measuring 17.5MM in diameter which floats over 1/8" off the finger. The shank is presently a size 7 1/2, and can easily be sized by a good jeweler. It is hallmarked "14k" on the inner band and it's in excellent condition. 9.1 grams total weight.
