This beautiful clamper style bracelet is a design first rendered by Margot de Taxco, but made by Hilario Lopez. Upon the close of Margot's studios, she gave her original molds to her studio employees. Hilario had many of the molds, and executed these designs under his name. This early Mexican silver clamper bracelet is a great example of the dying art of repousse. It is 3" wide in front tapering to 1 1/4" in back, and has a 6 1/2" interior measurement. It is 67 grams with thick gauge walls, and has a very strong hinge mechanism. It has a small ding on the edge of one front panel, but it does not detract from the piece. Overall, it is in very good condition, and is hallmarked "Taxco GRO EDP 925 Hecho en Mexico Sterling."

This charming pin is a great example of the some of the unsigned pieces made in Taxco in the 1930's and 1940's. The pin measures 3 1/2" long and has a wingspan of 3 1/2". The body is made from cast sterling silver and the applied wings are from handwrought sheeting. Dangling from the bird's beak is a 5/8" x 5/8" repousse heart with turquoise stone center.
