These amazing hair ornaments are by the master Taxco silversmith, Hubert Harmon. His whimsical and sometimes odd designs are highly sought after, and extremely hard to find. These ornaments came directly from the original estate, and were purchased at Harmon's Taxco taller in the early 1940's. The largest ornament is approximately 5 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide and is signed "Hubert Harmon Made in Mexico" on the reverse. This adorable pin was made by Emilia "Mimi" Castillo who is present head of the Los Castillo taller. It is 2 3/4" in diameter and is made from sterling silver, brass, and copper in the "married metals" technique so distinctive to Los Castillo. It is in excellent condition and is hallmarked "Emilia Castillo 925 Mexico M.A. TC-124".

This early Mexican silver clamper bracelet is a great example of the dying art of repousse. It is 3" wide in front tapering to 1 1/4" in back, and has a 6 1/2" interior measurement. It is 67 grams with thick gauge walls, and has a very strong hinge mechanism. It has a small ding on the edge of one front panel, but it does not detract from the piece. Overall, it is in very good condition, and is hallmarked "Taxco GRO EDP 925 Hecho en Mexico Sterling."

This unique pin was designed by Taxco silversmith, Bernice Goodspeed. It is 2 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide and is made from heavyweight (25 grams) sterling silver. It has deep carved details on the top and the bottom stone opens to reveal a secret locket compartment. It is in very good condition and is signed "Sterling Mexico" with Bernice's "B" hallmark.

This lovely bracelet is a classic design by master Mexican silversmith, Hector Aguilar. It is 7/8" wide, and has a wearable length of 6 1/2". It is made from heavyweight sterling silver (85.3 grams), and has an attached safety chain and pin closure. This lovely vintage cross pendant measures 2 1/2" long x 1 1/2" wide. It is handmade from sterling silver and has twisted wire details on the edges and carved notches on the front. It has a genuine amethyst center stone with 2 flanking turquoise glass cabochons. It has no markings but it has been tested for sterling silver. It is in excellent condition.

This charming pin is a great example of the some of the unsigned pieces made in Taxco in the 1930's and 1940's. The pin measures 3 1/2" long and has a wingspan of 3 1/2". The body is made from cast sterling silver and the applied wings are from handwrought sheeting. Dangling from the bird's beak is a 5/8" x 5/8" repousse heart with turquoise stone center. It is in excellent condition and is hallmarked "Silver Made in Mexico". It also has the name "Dopey" inscribed.

This unusual belt buckle was designed by contemporary San Miguel de Allende artist, Felipe Barbosa. This wonderful vintage necklace is a faithful early reproduction of the masterwork of Antonio Pineda. It is 7/8" wide in front and tapers to 3/8" wide towards the back. It is made from heavy weight sterling silver (240 grams) and has faceted onyx square stone accents. It is in excellent condition and bears a rather undecipherable signature at the box clasp.
